Pan-Arab Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (PASPGHAN)



It’s the Pan-Arab Union of Pediatric Gastro-Enterology- Hepatology & Nutrition Societies, founded by Late Professor Ibrahim Fayyad (Egypte) at 1998 during the Arab Doctors meeting in Sudan. The PASPGHAN council consists of the executive committee elected every 3 years, and the representative of each PASPGHAN country member from 14 Arabic countries from the Meadle east to North Africa (Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Soudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen), the PASPGHAN president Is nominated every year, he is the country organizer of the annual meeting.


The mission of PASPGHAN is exchanging a clinical experience, promoting continued medical education and creating a long term networking contact within all members, from senior to Junior Doctors and researchers; the goal is to improve childrens’ clinical care and health outcome, and support young Doctors in their practice an career, through rotates annual Congress and symposiums, e-mail newsletter and research.


PASPGHAN is open on international societies and affiliated to FISPGHAN since 2014, collaborating with FISPGHAN and all sister Societies (by participation in scientific event, global statement and publication…). With the support and the dedication of the co-founders Pr.El guindi and Pr.Maha Zekri (Egypt), Pr.Aziz Koleilat (Lebanon), the scientific committee Pr.Rawashda (Jordan), Dr.M.Bozzo (Syria), Dr.M.Miqdady (UAE) and all the country representatives; PASPGHAN is in a continuous progress, to enhance collaboration within all PASPGHAN members and sister societies around the world.
